The Underground Revolution presents Friday 13th Dark Entries Night @The Booth Hall, Hereford. A Guide For Beginners.

A couple of lost souls have approached me recently and asked, “What is the Dark Entries Friday the 13th night all about at The Booth Hall?”   I began my replies with “Well you don’t want to miss it”  But here is a more comprehensive explanation. It’s underground, alternative, dance, with a touch of industrial, goth post punk edgy, delirium infused tunes that push the boundaries of your inner freak, poetic, music loving, uncontrollably exuberant, morbid but totally pleasant and sexy self.  Do you get it now?  I really hope so because this kind of night doesn’t happen everyday and may not happen again….so be there!

The DJ’s

Let’s begin by not labelling these DJ’s because that is just not cool bro, but they are a combination of  various musical styles that span the  late 70’s,  80’s and some 90’s. As vast and varied but still dark as these DJ’s may be, the night has a theme…dark, sexy, obscure and full of amazing dance tracks.   It is a time machine into a time when people were pushing boundaries as far and hard as they could without giving a shit if they were beat up on the street for wearing make up, their sisters dresses (the boys), their brothers braces and dickies (the girls) and so and so forth.  This should be a foundation requirement in music college for all those young musos and musicians in the making.  Just sayin’.

DJ Slothario is known around London for his club design…imagine some pretty trippy backdrops if you will.  He is also known for his DJ persona, who may or may not appear in some form of androgynous drag.  He has spun records in London clubs such as Bloody Marvellous and The Egg. This is his night and he also happens to be the Art Director for Hereford City Centric.  Just sayin’.  DJ Slothario has a few guest DJ’s who are a bit mysterious and will add a different take with each of their sets to the underground tunes and vibes.  We will keep them a bit mysterious for now…but expect a journey like no other.

The Venue

Dark Entries will be taking place at the Booth Hall on Friday 13th and kicking off at 8:30pm.  The Dance Floor will be located on the top floor of this ancient court house with much dark history attached to it, such as the  hanging of many poor and now lost souls. Hope they join us on the dance floor. Even the dead deserve to have fun.  The bar will be stocked, the mood will dark, the night will be a sprinkle of ominous, sexy, mysterious, outrageous, and low-lit…but most importantly HELLA FUN.

 The Look

Come as you are, Come as you were, Come as you wish…Big Boots and Big Heels, or Converse and Monkey Boots.  Necklaces, chokers, baubles and beads optional.  Black eye liner or black lip liner. Day glo make up, but not day glo clothes please..well maybe.  Why not…ok Day glo clothes welcome…you can light our way.  Everybody loves a human torch.

SEEEEEEEE You on Friday the 13th at The Booth Hall ….BOO!
