Today is the start of the Borderlines Film Festival featuring films showing at venues across Herefordshire, Shropshire and the Welsh border.

With nearly 100 films, there is a wide variety to choose from, with previews of films yet to go on general release, some of which have won prizes at major International Film Festivals and from all parts of the globe.

This year the festival is taking a few risks and showing some exciting and obscure films from new or relatively unknown Directors and offering the chance to sample new and visionary filmmaking with themes and stories about displacement, identity and diversity and offering unique insights into the lives and cultures of different European countries and shining a spotlight on both British film and world cinema.
